According to an announcement from the United States Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) on May 21, Brooks has been chosen as the new head of the OCC, this comes a mere seven weeks after leaving Coinbase’s legal team.

Brooks will be taking over for Joseph Otting, who is leaving midway through his term
