Genesis Completes Bankruptcy Restructuring, Begins $4 Billion Distribution

Genesis Global Holdco has successfully completed its bankruptcy restructuring and started distributing $4 billion in cryptocurrency and cash to its creditors. This marks a significant step in the company’s recovery efforts following its Chapter 11 filing in January.

CEO Derar Islim emphasized the importance of this milestone, stating, “We have worked diligently to ensure that the restructuring process is transparent and equitable, and we are pleased to begin the distribution phase, delivering on our commitments to our creditors.”

The $4 billion distribution includes assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and cash, and is expected to significantly alleviate the financial burdens of Genesis’s creditors, ranging from institutional investors to individual traders.
