Ripple co-founder and executive chairman Chris Larsen has emerged as a major financial backer of the Harris presidential campaign, contributing over $11.8 million to political action committees supporting Vice President Kamala Harris.

New campaign finance filings reveal that Larsen, 64, donated nearly $9.9 million to Future Forward and over $800,000 to the Harris Victory Fund in September alone. Including a $1 million donation of XRP cryptocurrency in August, Larsen has now contributed more than $11.8 million to PACs backing Harris's bid for the presidency, making him one of the crypto industry's largest individual donors.

Larsen’s substantial wealth, estimated by Forbes at $3.1 billion, is largely derived from his holdings of XRP, the digital asset created by Ripple, and his involvement in the company's blockchain-based financial services. His latest contributions underscore the growing influence of cryptocurrency executives in U.S. politics.
