Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis told CNBC on Thursday that the state has approximately $800 million invested in "crypto-related" assets. If former President Trump wins the election next month, Patronis wouldn't be surprised to see that number grow. 

Earlier this week, Patronis penned a letter suggesting Florida should "allocate a portion of the state retirement system funds into cryptocurrency." Florida joins other U.S. states, like Wisconsin, which has a $1.63 million stake in spot Bitcoin ETFs.
