Hedera Hashgraph, a distributed ledger technology, announced that the addition of IBM and Tata Communications on to its governing council. CEO of Hedera Hashgraph, Mance Harmon, commented on the addition of IBM and Tata stating "Our governance model, which includes a robust system of checks and balances, ensures power can’t be consolidated, while at the same time providing a stable and scalable platform on which developers can build." Hedera Hashgraph plans to have up to 39 multinational entities to occupy their governing council, which decentralized the platform's governance and give the council the responsibility of removing forks and upholding the codebase.
