According to the Wall Street Journal, OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, is negotiating a new round of financing of up to $40 billion. The valuation of the ChatGPT maker will reach $340 billion.

The Wall Street Journal reported that SoftBank will lead OpenAI's current round of financing and plans to invest $15 billion to $25 billion. Part of the funds will be used to support OpenAI's commitment to the "Stargate" AI infrastructure project.
