"Bitcoin may hit $150K this year" — says Miss Universe El Salvador 2022, now a crypto educator and entrepreneur.
Bitpush: You’ve gone from being Miss Universe El Salvador to now standing on the Bitcoin conference stage. What’s the difference, and how do you feel about it?
Alejandra Guajardo: Well, I love both of them. Both of them are very different, yeah. One is only about beaut
—of course about social work as well, fashion, glamour. Bitcoin—well, it's a totally different world. Most of the people are men, have you seen that? (laugh) And about programming, cyberpunk? —it’s quite different, but I like it because, well, to be honest, I never thought I was going to be at a lot of big conferences. But now that I’m here, I love them. They’re so fun! You meet a lot of new and very interesting people. That’s very cool for me. And yeah, I’m happy that I’m in this new world now. I’m done with pageants. Now I’m going to do coaching for girls and, to be honest, for anyone who wants to have more self-love and believe in themselves—to achieve all of their goals.
Bitpush: As you mentioned, the number of women in the crypto world is still very small. Why do you want to educate women—and how?
Alejandra Guajardo: Well, I’ve been working in public schools, and I’ve been educating kids in El Salvador. And I love it because I want them to understand how money works—and how to be free with Bitcoin.
Bitpush: When was the first time you heard about Bitcoin?
Alejandra Guajardo: The first time I heard about Bitcoin was when I was in university. I studied at the University of Texas, and my friends were doing trading, you know, like switching from one coin to another. So that’s when I first heard about Bitcoin.
Bitpush: How did you end up representing Bitcoin on the Miss Universe stage?
Alejandra Guajardo: At Miss Universe, in the national costume segment—that’s where I wore a Bitcoin costume. And after that, I started to give education about Bitcoin, and I started to be an advocate for Bitcoin. That’s why they call me Miss Bitcoin now.
Bitpush: You’ve traveled to a lot of countries. Are you focusing on building your own brand now?
Alejandra Guajardo: Yeah! I built my own brand—Miss Bitcoin. I have my brand of T-shirts. I also have skincare products made with CBD and a lot of natural products that I grow on my ranch in Mexico. We grow cannabis, milk bush, and a lot of different natural medicinal plants—things for people that have cancer, fever, and other illnesses. I have my CBD skincare line—it’s really good for the eyes, for the face, and everything is organic and natural. I love organic!
Bitpush: Just a fun question—where do you think Bitcoin will go this year, in terms of price?
Alejandra Guajardo: Ah, the price? Okay—I think for sure, $150K.
Bitpush: What about $200K?
Alejandra Guajardo: (laughs) $200K? For this year? Maybe! Anything can happen in this life, right?
Bitpush: Thank you so much, Alejandra. It’s been a pleasure.
Alejandra Guajardo: Thank you!
