Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has confidentially filed for an initial public offering in the United States, according to a report by The Block and a statement from the company.
Gemini said the number of Class A common shares to be offered and their price range have not yet been determined. The IPO is expected to proceed after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) completes its review process, pending market and other conditions, the company stated.
The filing follows stablecoin issuer Circle's public offering, which was filed in April and began trading this week. Separately, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken is also reportedly considering an IPO, Bloomberg has reported.
