According to reports from the New York Post, the European Commission announced on Thursday that it is requesting more information from Elon Musk's X platform regarding corporate structure changes, following the completion of xAI's acquisition of X for $33 billion. An EU spokesperson emphasized: We are closely monitoring the changes in the company structure of X platform, just like with other designated platforms.
In July last year, the EU preliminarily determined that X platform had deceptive design violations, including changing the blue V certification to a paid service leading to distortion of user credibility. To avoid penalties, X platform added a disclaimer to the blue V badge this month.
