A network threat actor associated with North Korea is using a new malware to target job seekers in the cryptocurrency industry, aiming to steal passwords for cryptocurrency wallets and password managers. Cisco Talos reported on Wednesday that they discovered a Python-based Remote Access Trojan (RAT) named 'PylangGhost' and linked the malware to a North Korean-affiliated hacker group called 'Famous Chollima' (also known as 'Wagemole'). The hacker group primarily targets job seekers and employees with cryptocurrency and blockchain experience, especially in India, through social engineering tactics involving fake job interview activities.
