According to blockchain detective ZachXBT, New York social engineering scammer Christian Nieves (alias Daytwo/PawsOnHips) set up a small call center to impersonate Coinbase customer service, leading users to create Coinbase wallets with compromised seeds on phishing websites, resulting in the theft of over $4 million in user funds. His accomplice, Paranoia (Justin), previously scammed $240,000 from an elderly victim in November 2024, with some funds flowing into the Roobet platform and the rest converted to XMR. He openly shared his Roobet account 'pawsonhips' and leaked wallet addresses during Discord calls, revealing frequent use for online gambling.
