In a recent report, UBS Global Wealth Management stated that the US still has the ability to repay its debts without any risk. UBS predicts that the US House of Representatives will approve Trump's economic policy agenda, despite the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimating an additional $800 billion in national debt over the next decade compared to the initial version. "But we believe that the US still has the ability to manage its debt," UBS stated. The report mentioned that the credibility of the Federal Reserve, the reserve status of the US dollar, the depth and liquidity of the US Treasury market, the balance sheet holdings of the Federal Reserve, and bank capital regulations could all help offset the deficit.
