ALB noted that MacDonald, with his comprehensive experience in regulation, technology, and corporate governance, has demonstrated strong regulatory diplomacy skills, driving Bybit to achieve a balance between compliance and growth. MacDonald previously worked at the UK Ministry of Justice and participated in the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) before transitioning to the multinational finance and technology sector, focusing on translating regulatory experience into business growth strategies. He joined Bybit in September 2024 and was appointed as Bybit's Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, leading the platform to obtain licenses in regions such as Austria, the UAE, Turkey, and Georgia, increasing the user base from 30 million to 70 million.
