According to MetaEra, crypto advocacy group Stand With Crypto, along with 65 organizations, is urging US lawmakers to support the Digital Assets Market Clarity Act. The bill aims to establish a clear regulatory framework for the crypto industry, defining the regulatory responsibilities of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), requiring digital asset companies to disclose customer information and segregate customer funds. It is expected to enter the review process next week. In addition, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott and Congresswoman Cynthia Lummis released related legislative principles last month and will hold a digital assets hearing on Wednesday. The letter specifically mentions the urgency of legislation, stating that the US needs to establish a regulatory framework by the end of September to avoid falling behind global competition.
