According to Cointelegraph, the Uzbekistan National Payment System HUMO has announced the issuance of a government bond-backed cryptocurrency token through its subsidiary HUMO Digital. The token has been registered in the unified electronic encrypted asset registration system maintained by the National Agency of Project Management of Uzbekistan (NAPP), with Asterium crypto custody agency overseeing the token's collateral and security. The HUMO token offers instant automatic fiat conversion, no intermediary delays, lower transaction costs, and blockchain-based full transparency and security. As a national payment system with over 35 million issued cards, HUMO aims to attract foreign investment, streamline commercial payments, and enhance financial transparency through this project. The system has established direct relationships with global payment systems such as Visa, MasterCard, and UnionPay, and is actively expanding integration with multiple countries including Georgia and Kazakhstan.
