According to reports, French lawmakers have submitted a proposal to use surplus electricity from nuclear power plants for Bitcoin mining, with an estimated annual revenue of 1-1.5 billion US dollars. The five-year pilot program will allow mining centers to co-locate with nuclear facilities, only activating when there is excess power, while also utilizing the heat generated for heating or industrial purposes.
