According to the Financial Times, two officials familiar with the negotiations revealed that if trade talks with the US fail, the EU is preparing a potential list of tariffs on US services and export control measures as one of the possible retaliatory measures. The European Commission is currently drafting this list of measures in response to Trump's tariff policies, which still need to be submitted to EU member states. Additionally, EU countries are discussing a retaliatory proposal targeting $720 billion worth of goods imported from the US (including additional tariffs on Boeing aircraft, cars, and bourbon whiskey), with the new list being further supplemented on this basis.
