According to Bloomberg, software company Consensys, founded by Ethereum co-founder Joseph Rubin, is planning to lay off 49 employees, accounting for approximately 7% of total staff.

A company spokesperson stated that the restructuring is aimed at improving overall profitability. Consensys recently acquired a startup with around 30 employees, who will remain with the company. Additionally, the company plans to continue hiring for other positions. Consensys's largest office is located in Brooklyn.
