Saravelos pointed out that if foreign countries were absorbing the tariff costs, their selling prices should decrease, but this trend has not materialized except in individual cases. However, he also noted that since US inflation remains under control, the main bearers of tariff costs are not consumers but importers. Saravelos stated, 'Since tariff costs are mainly borne by Americans, this becomes another negative factor for the US dollar.'
