According to Coindesk, cryptocurrency asset management company CoinShares has been granted a MiCA license by the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF), becoming the first European asset management company to offer cryptocurrency portfolio management services within the EU. This license, combined with its existing MiFID and AIFM qualifications, makes CoinShares the only major European cryptocurrency asset management institution holding all three major regulatory licenses simultaneously. CoinShares stated that this move will help expand its operations in the EU's 27 countries and drive the transition of the traditional asset management industry towards cryptocurrency products.
