According to Bloomberg, Ghana plans to issue licenses to cryptocurrency platforms as authorities aim to regulate this asset class used by millions in the West African country while generating revenue. The Governor of the Bank of Ghana stated that the central bank is finalizing a regulatory framework, set to be submitted for parliamentary review in September. The proposed laws will enable the country to fully utilize cryptocurrencies, promote cross-border trade, attract strategic investments, and gather financial data.
