According to a new Gallup survey conducted from June 2 to 15, approximately 14% of American adults reported owning cryptocurrency, but most indicated no interest in purchasing. Despite a slight increase in digital asset ownership since 2021, most Americans still view digital assets as a risky investment. The survey revealed that the phenomenon of cryptocurrency ownership is more common among men under 50, with 25% of men stating they own Bitcoin or other digital currencies. Additionally, cryptocurrency ownership rates are higher among college graduates (19%), high-income adults (19%), and political conservatives (18%). In contrast, only 7% of adults aged 65 and older reported owning some form of cryptocurrency. 17% of Americans expressed interest in cryptocurrency but do not plan to invest in the near future; only 4% indicated they might purchase cryptocurrency soon. 60% stated they have no plans to invest in cryptocurrency at all.
