According to BeInCrypto, an Ethereum developer named 'Fede's intern' has been detained in Izmir, Turkey, on suspicion of assisting others in 'abusing' Ethereum. The developer, in a post on X, stated that authorities have accused him of aiding in this activity. 'Fede's intern' denies any wrongdoing, emphasizing that he and his team are 'just infrastructure builders' and are willing to cooperate with authorities. During the 'detention', he intermittently posted updates, stating that he has been moved to a private room and provided with food. He also claimed that arrangements are being made for him to leave Turkey for Europe on a private plane within a few hours. Upon arrival in Europe, he will continue to defend against the charges with his legal team.
