In an interview with Fox Business Channel, US Treasury Secretary Bessen stated that as tariff revenue continues to flow into the US Treasury, the increasing financial income will make it difficult for the Supreme Court to make rulings unfavorable to the Trump administration if lower court tariff lawsuits are appealed to the highest court.
Bessen said: The more financial income, the harder it is for the Supreme Court to make rulings against us. This statement is in response to a case being heard by the Washington DC Federal Circuit Court of Appeals. The case questions the legality of Trump's so-called reciprocal tariffs, as well as another set of tariff measures imposed on China, Canada, and Mexico in February.
