According to reports from the Korean newspaper, Upbit, the largest cryptocurrency exchange platform in South Korea, operator Dunamu signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB Bank) in Seoul on August 13 to collaborate on building Vietnam's first local digital asset trading platform. Under the agreement, Dunamu will serve as MB Bank's core strategic partner, providing technical and infrastructure support, as well as consulting on regulatory compliance, investor protection, and talent development. This development follows Vietnam's important progress in July with the passage of the Digital Technology Industry Law. Data shows that Vietnam currently has over 20 million digital asset holders, with a trading volume exceeding $800 billion, making it the fifth largest recipient of blockchain asset inflows globally. MB Bank, as one of Vietnam's top five banks, has 33 million users and total assets close to $50 billion.
