According to reports, Synthetix and Infinex founder Kain Warwick announced that the Synthetix team is exploring plans to return to the Ethereum mainnet. After a failed attempt in the previous cycle, Warwick stated that there are many reasons for the failure, with no excuses. Two years later, it is evident that the Ethereum mainnet needs a modern, high-performance perpetual contract decentralized exchange. Synthetix has returned to its startup state with the goal of rejoining the EVM ecosystem of decentralized exchanges. The off-chain order book features a batch settlement engine, operating similarly to an optimistic rollup but keeping all funds on the mainnet. In my opinion, this is the best design for perps in today's market.
