According to sources, Thailand will relax regulations for foreign tourists, allowing them to convert their digital assets into Thai Baht for travel expenses and consumption. Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira stated at a press conference on August 18 that the government aims to promote innovation through the 'Tourism Digital Payment' program, supporting the use of digital assets. The pilot phase is set to begin in the fourth quarter within a regulatory sandbox for a period of 18 months.
