According to reports from Guangming Net, Ningbo has cracked down on a cryptocurrency fraud case involving remote ordering of 'Flash Delivery Maotai'. The defendant targeted tobacco and liquor stores, using fake receipts to steal genuine Maotai and transferring the proceeds to the upstream fraudsters in the form of virtual currency. The defendant, Zhou, was prosecuted by the Yinzhou District Procuratorate of Ningbo City for concealing and disguising criminal proceeds, and was sentenced to one year and six months in prison with a fine. Currently, the public security authorities are further investigating the upstream fraudsters.
