According to Cointelegraph, the cryptocurrency security platform Kerberus has announced the acquisition of the developer of the fraud protection browser extension Pocket Universe, Refract, for a seven-figure amount.

Following the acquisition, Kerberus plans to integrate Pocket Universe with its security extension Sentinel3 and expand protection to all Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains and the Solana network.

CEO Alex Katz stated that they are developing the industry's first dedicated cryptocurrency antivirus software to address the biggest security threat - malware attacks.

Pocket Universe founders Justin Phu and Nishan Samarasinghe will step down from operations but continue to support the Kerberus team. Additionally, Crypto Banter founder Ran Neuner will join as a strategic advisor.
