The AI5 chip is set to be an epic chip, with the upcoming AI6 expected to be the best AI chip yet. Transitioning from two chip architectures to one means all of Tesla's chip talent will be focused on creating an incredible chip. Musk believes that AI5 may be the best among all inference chips for models with fewer than approximately 250 billion parameters, with the lowest silicon cost and highest performance power ratio to date, while AI6 will take it even further.
