Staking infrastructure Kiln announced today that it will orderly exit all its Ethereum (ETH) validator nodes as part of measures in response to the Solana incident involving SwissBorg yesterday. The withdrawal process is expected to take 10 to 42 days, depending on the validators, with withdrawals to be completed according to the network schedule, taking up to 9 days. Validators can still earn rewards during the withdrawal period. Kiln emphasizes that exiting validator nodes is a responsible measure to protect stakers' security in case of potential vulnerabilities in the infrastructure. Kiln has temporarily suspended some services on its staking platform, such as Kiln Dashboard, Widget, and API. Additionally, SwissBorg CEO Cyrus Fazel denies yesterday's hacker intrusion into their wealth management company resulting in the theft of $41 million, attributing the attack to an external DeFi wallet held by their SOL staking partner Kiln.
