According to reports, Hyperliquid plans to launch the HIP-3 upgrade later today, enabling the creation of a permissionless perpetual contract market. Once HIP-3 is successfully launched, deployers will be able to launch Perp DEX on HyperCore without permission by staking 500,000 HYPE tokens. HIP-3 will integrate with HyperEVM for smart contracts and governance, and include security measures such as validator penalties and a cap on open contracts.
