According to The Block, the number of independent stablecoin senders on Ethereum has grown exponentially over the past 12 months. From January 2020 to July 2024, there were an average of about 400,000 per week; starting in August 2024, the average weekly growth rate exceeded 1.7%, reaching new highs. In 2025, Ethereum has an average of 720,000 independent stablecoin senders per week, with over 1 million weekly independent stablecoin senders in the past two weeks alone. The surge in independent stablecoin senders is mainly due to the increasing adoption of stablecoins. For example, in countries with foreign exchange fluctuations or capital controls, stablecoins essentially act as a substitute for the US dollar. Additionally, perpetual contracts, prediction markets, and settlement of most real-world assets with stablecoins have led to the creation of new addresses. Furthermore, as the primary settlement venue, Ethereum has attracted new users and brought in numerous new stablecoin senders.
