According to reports, DEX project Bunni, based on Uniswap V4, announced its shutdown in a post on X. Bunni stated: 'Recent exploit incidents have forced Bunni's development to come to a halt. To safely restart, the costs of just auditing and monitoring alone would require a six to seven-figure sum - a cost we are currently unable to bear. Additionally, restoring Bunni to its pre-exploit state would require months of development and business expansion efforts, which we cannot afford. Therefore, we have decided to shut down Bunni.' Furthermore, Bunni mentioned that the remaining treasury assets will be distributed to holders of BUNNI, LIT, and veBUNNI. The confirmation of the legal process is still ongoing, and specific distribution details will be announced after the legal process is finalized, with team members not participating in this snapshot distribution. Earlier reports indicated that Bunni suffered a loss of approximately $2.3 million in the early September hacker attack.
