According to reports, recently, the Shunqing District Branch of the Nanchong Public Security Bureau successfully dismantled a syndicate using virtual currency for money laundering, arresting 5 suspects including Wang.
Police reported that Wang and his accomplices recruited carders through channels such as WeChat Moments, offering high commissions as bait, and providing card numbers to overseas partners. After the funds were transferred, they would follow instructions to transfer the funds in batches to designated accounts. Once the laundering was completed, the partners would settle the rewards through cryptocurrency. Currently, Wang, Li, and 3 other suspects have been criminally detained by the public security authorities, and the case is under further investigation.
