According to blockchain analysis platform Bubblemaps, the aPriori liquidity staking protocol in the Monad ecosystem raised $30 million from top venture capital firms, but 60% of the airdrop was claimed by the same entity through 14,000 addresses. aPriori is one of the largest upcoming projects on Monad, distributing 12% of the token supply through an airdrop before the launch of the Monad mainnet. The APR token was launched on the BNB Chain on October 23 and quickly reached a market value of $300 million.
The 14,000 addresses share common characteristics:
- Recently received funds from Binance;
- Received 0.001 BNB in a short time window;
- Sent APR tokens to new addresses, forming a second layer in the cluster.
Bubblemaps stated that it is currently unclear who the mastermind behind this is and how these wallets obtained airdrop credentials. Bubblemaps has reached out to the aPriori team but has not received a response yet.
