According to reports, on the evening of December 13, an attempted robbery occurred at a cryptocurrency exchange store in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. Police received a report from a security guard around 8 pm that a suspected robbery had taken place in a stairwell at 608 Nathan Road.
Initial investigations by the police revealed that the 46-year-old male owner of the cryptocurrency exchange store at the mentioned location was preparing to close the shop when he was approached by two men demanding him to open the door, suspected of attempting a robbery, followed by another alleged accomplice. The owner and his wife got into a scuffle with the three men, during which the male owner injured his finger and was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment, remaining conscious during transportation.
After conducting an initial investigation at the scene, the police believe that the owner did not suffer any financial losses. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the scene and tracking down the whereabouts of the suspects. The store in question is located on the 1st floor of W Plaza Presidential Commercial Building, with a small amount of blood found on the staircase leading to Soy Street in the mall.
