According to reports from South Korean media ETNews, KB Financial Group has released the '2025 South Korean Wealth Report', which analyzes individuals with financial assets and real estate exceeding 1 billion Korean won. The report indicates that the number of high net worth individuals in South Korea is growing at a rate of 9.7% per year, increasing from 130,000 in 2011 to 476,000 in 2025. Their total financial assets are also growing at an average rate of 7.2% per year, rising from 115.8 trillion Korean won in 2011 to 306.6 trillion Korean won in 2025, surpassing the 300 trillion Korean won mark for the first time this year.

Additionally, the allocation of real estate assets in the portfolios of South Korean high net worth individuals has decreased, while the allocation of physical assets such as gold, jewelry, and other assets like crypto assets has increased.
