According to reports, the Trump administration officially launched the two-year 'U.S. Tech Force' plan this week, aiming to recruit about 1,000 engineers and tech experts to be deployed to federal agencies such as the Treasury Department and the Department of Defense, to participate in AI infrastructure and other key technology projects. Coinbase and Robinhood are among the nearly 30 private partners of the program, which also includes major tech companies like OpenAI, Nvidia, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon Web Services. This move is seen as the crypto industry transitioning from a 'regulated entity' to a government-recognized provider of technical capabilities. Participants are reported to receive an annual salary of approximately $150,000 to $200,000, federal benefits, and the option to continue working for the government or transition to a private company after the two-year term.
