According to Jinshi News, data released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics on Tuesday showed that non-farm employment increased by 64,000 in November, while it decreased by 105,000 in October. The unemployment rate for last month was 4.6%, higher than September's 4.4%, reaching the highest level in 2021. The Bureau had to forgo releasing the October unemployment rate as it was unable to collect the data retrospectively after the government shutdown. The decline in employment numbers in October marks the largest drop since the end of 2020, as workers who participated in the Trump administration's buyout resignation plan officially exited the employment list, resulting in a reduction of 162,000 federal government employees.
