According to reports, some netizens have reported that their family members fell victim to a fake 'Hong Kong Stock Exchange' official website scam. Initially, they were able to successfully withdraw money four times, each time 100 yuan. However, the system later prompted that they needed to pay taxes in order to continue withdrawing. Failure to pay taxes on time would result in the account being frozen. The victims have already reported the incident to the authorities. After verification by The Paper, it was found that the webpage can no longer be accessed. In response to such fraudulent activities, the official website of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has issued a warning notice. Currently, there are over 400 suspicious websites identified by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, but a fake website named 'Hong Kong Stable Coin Exchange (HSEX)' is still accessible. The design of the webpage closely resembles a legitimate trading platform, displaying the price fluctuations of cryptocurrencies and virtual currencies, as well as offering functions such as deposit and withdrawal.
