Forbes: Elon Musk's Wealth to Grow Over $333 Billion by 2025, Making Trillionaire Status Achievable

According to reports, the combined wealth of over 3,100 billionaires worldwide has increased by $3.6 trillion since the beginning of the year, reaching a total of $18.7 trillion. Elon Musk's pursuit of trillionaire status is no longer just talk, as his wealth has grown from $421 billion at the start of the year to over $500 billion in October, making him the first person in history to surpass this milestone. He is considered the biggest winner of the year, with his wealth growing by over $333 billion, equivalent to a daily increase of $9.35 billion.

Most global stock markets saw positive trends in 2025, driving the increase in billionaires' wealth. The S&P 500 index had a yearly return rate of 17%, while major stock indices in countries like Germany, Japan, and Canada performed even better, with increases of 22%, 26%, and 30% respectively. Of course, some billionaires had even more remarkable fortunes compared to others, with the top ten winners seeing their wealth surge by over $729 billion in the past year.

Among the top ten winners, American billionaires occupy six spots, accounting for over 85% of the total wealth increase. This data clearly shows that the new wave of wealth creation is highly concentrated in a country led by billionaire presidents and wealthy cabinet members. With a significant increase in investments in the field of artificial intelligence, coupled with the U.S.'s efforts to lead in the AI competition, the top five billionaires in terms of wealth growth this year are all tech giants from the United States.
