According to reports, Flow officials announced on X platform that on December 27, 2025, attackers exploited a vulnerability in Flow's execution layer to transfer approximately $3.9 million in assets before the network shutdown. The attack did not access users' existing balances, ensuring the safety of all user deposits. Currently, the approximately $3.9 million funds are primarily flowing out through bridges such as Celer, Debridge, Relay, and Stargate. The attacker's wallet has been identified and flagged, with their money laundering activities through Thorchain and Chainflip being tracked in real-time. The Flow Foundation has submitted freeze requests to Circle, Tether, and major exchanges. The network has now been shut down to cut off all exit paths, and the final verification of the repair solution is underway. The target restart time is within 4 to 6 hours, depending on the results of the testnet verification. FindLabs is releasing forensic data containing transaction hashes and the attacker's Ethereum wallet address.
