According to Cointelegraph, Ethereum mainnet set a new record this week with 2.2 million daily transactions, while average transaction fees have dropped to just 17 cents. The highest fee record for Ethereum occurred in May 2022, when users had to pay over $200 per transaction. However, despite increasing network usage, ongoing upgrades have significantly reduced fees. Since October 10, fees have been on a downward trend. On that day, due to a major liquidation event caused by a significant market downturn, fees were around $8.48.
