Binance has released an update on the Flow (FLOW) network security incident: On December 27, 2025, a serious security vulnerability occurred in the Flow network, with hackers exploiting a system loophole to mint a large number of tokens. Upon learning of the incident, Binance took immediate action, successfully tracking and freezing the hacker's remaining funds on the Binance platform to minimize losses and protect the interests of Flow token holders. Despite multiple attempts to contact the Flow project team and offer support, there has been no substantive communication or cooperation from the project team since the incident. If the project team decides to implement an independent on-chain recovery plan to address the hacker incident, it is crucial to exclude addresses of major centralized exchanges (CEX), including Binance Wallet, as affected users from different CEX platforms have already received compensation. Binance urges the Flow project team to release a detailed post-incident analysis report, clearly outlining the root causes of this security incident and the measures to be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future. If needed, Binance is willing to provide security support to help strengthen the defense capabilities of the Flow ecosystem.
