According to reports, the unlicensed virtual asset trading platform JPEX, exposed in 2023 for suspected fraud, allegedly led investors to lose money through scams involving celebrities and internet celebrities. The latest developments in the case, as reported by Hong Kong media Wen Wei Po, reveal that two suspects involved in money laundering totaling approximately HK$26.4 million are facing separate hearings in the district court. The prosecution has confirmed issuing a sentencing notice, which is on record with the court. Judge Ko Kin Sau has scheduled separate hearings for the two cases on March 31 and April 9.
