According to Nikkei News, Mitsui & Co. plans to launch Japan's first digital securities backed by aircraft and ships through its digital asset management subsidiary, Mitsui & Co. Digital Asset Management. The product is expected to go live as early as the 2026 fiscal year (starting in April) and will target retail investors, supporting fractional asset investments with a minimum subscription amount of around 100,000 yen. Investors will be able to share in the rental income from aircraft or ships.
