Bitcoin miners could potentially steal fees from each other becuase of an error in time-locked Bitcoin contracts, as reported by cryptoglobe.com.
The error was reported by anonymos crypto developer 0xB10C in a blog post. He wrote that time-locked transactions prevented recipients from accessing their Bitcoin after it was sent. Recipients must wait for blocks to be added in ten-minute intervals to access their payment.
The build up of time-locked transactions leaves them vulnerable to theft by other miners, according to 0xB10C.
"A fix for this has been released in early 2020," 0xB10C told Coindesk in an interview. "However, it wil take a while before all instances of the currently deployed software are upgraded."
