According to market sources, Polygon has recently implemented a large-scale internal layoff, with approximately 30% of employees being dismissed this week. The layoffs occurred as Polygon strategically shifted towards the stablecoin payment sector after completing the acquisition of Coinme and Sequence for a total of $250 million. Polygon Labs communications director Kurt Patat confirmed that the layoffs are part of post-acquisition team integration measures, with the company's total headcount expected to remain stable.
