The co-founder and CEO of blockchain firm StarkWare countered Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin's recent tweet that Ethereum's layer two solutions were "basically a success" in an interview with Cointelegraph.

Uri Kolodny, StarkWare's CEO, named lack of developer confidence and integration into wallets as two weaknesses of layer two solutions.

While Kolodny said these solutions hold promise, he noted that they have yet to be tested on the mainnet and will need time before they are fully realized.
